Russell Rowland

Granite State poet Russell Rowland is a just-retired pastor, who holds a Doctor of Ministry degree from Bangor Seminary, and served United Church of Christ congregations in Connecticut and New Hampshire. He is a volunteer trail adopter for the Lakes Region (New Hampshire) Conservation Trust, and a proud father and grandfather. His poetry has appeared in many small journals, receiving seven Pushcart Prize nominations and a Best of Net nomination. He is a past winner of Old Red Kimono’s Paris Lake Poetry Contest, and has twice won both the Plainsongs Award and Descant’s Baskerville Publishers Poetry Prize. His chapbooks, Train of All Cabooses and Mountain Blue are available from Finishing Line Press.

In We're All Home Now (Beech River Books, 2018), the poems suggest that home is where the heart is, where the hurt is, and occasionally where the horror is—while always affirming that place from which we come, and to which we return.
